This thoughtfully designed two-storey NDIS-compliant home balances functionality, accessibility, and a relaxed coastal aesthetic. Designed to provide a comfortable and supportive living environment, the residence incorporates universal design principles, ensuring ease of movement and independence for residents while fostering a sense of home and community.
The ground floor features an open and accessible layout, with shared living, dining, and kitchen spaces designed for social interaction and practicality. Wide hallways, step-free transitions, and carefully positioned fixtures enhance mobility, while large openings invite natural light and coastal breezes. Three spacious bedrooms, each with ensuite bathrooms and accessible features, are located on this level, ensuring privacy and ease of use.
The upper floor accommodates two additional bedrooms, offering flexibility for residents or live-in support staff. A secondary lounge space provides a retreat for relaxation, with balconies oriented to capture views and natural ventilation.
The material palette is understated yet reflective of its coastal setting, combining light, natural tones and textures. Weatherboard cladding, soft timber finishes, and crisp white detailing evoke a relaxed beachside character, while durable materials such as composite decking and powder-coated aluminum elements ensure longevity and low maintenance.
Outdoor spaces are designed for both communal engagement and quiet respite, with landscaped courtyards and covered verandahs providing shaded, accessible areas for relaxation. Sustainability is embedded through passive solar design, energy-efficient systems, and water-sensitive landscaping.
This NDIS-compliant home seamlessly blends accessibility with a warm, inviting atmosphere, creating a safe and inclusive space that supports residents' independence while embracing the essence of coastal living.
